Sunshine
Once there was the sun,
Casting its warm gaze upon me.
Reaching down with dazzling rays,
To gently place a kiss on my cheek.
Even on winter days,
When the cold nipped my nose
And the wind whipped my hair,
The sun caressed me sweetly
To let me know he was still there.
The brightest star in my sky,
Smiling on me at all times.
I loved those days when, even in the night,
Sunshine made me feel alive.
