Her Dream
She was never the prettiest,
Not the smartest.
She never stood out
Always lingering in the background.
Her ambition was not overwhelming,
It was not beyond reach.
Some may have called it underachieving
For her only dream was for her to be seen.
Seizing the moment was not her strength
And she lived her life playing by the rules.
Was it not a good thing then, that her only dream was to be seen and heard.
For her, her alone. It seemed
Like a good idea.
