Peaches
A peach tree is my only friend.
He produces beautifully pink fruit,
But sometimes I don’t want peaches
At times, I wish he were a pineapple tree.
He produces beautifully pink fruit,
But I don’t feel like eating peaches now.
Today, I wish he were a pineapple tree,
I’m in need of something other than a peach.
I don’t feel like eating peaches right now.
I’d appreciate some more variety in life,
Which would include something besides a peach.
Like a plump, sweetly red watermelon.
I’d appreciate some more variety in my life.
But all in all I do prefer peaches to other fruit.
They’re better than most fruits, and a lot less sticky.
Plus they’re a small, pleasant fruit.
I do prefer peaches to any other fruit.
Sometimes I don’t want peaches
But I remember how they’re a pleasant fruit,
And I think, a peach tree is my only real friend.
