Golden Sunrise
I sing of love,
Or like, at least,
As we watch the sunrise,
Golden in the east.
I ruffle your hair,
As you graze my arm,
We both feel protected,
Far from harm.
I'm strong and bold,
You're timid and shy,
But regardless of this,
You're still my guy.
I'm free to be,
Myself with you,
Free to open up,
Which I rarely do.
You're special and true,
This feels so right,
And I'm never worried,
To let you out of my sight.
I trust you with ease,
For I know that you care,
And I'm almost sure,
It's love that we share.
You hold me tight,
And stare into my eyes,
As we sit in the warmth,
Of the Golden Sunrise.
