I am a woman
I am a woman
Always suppressed in this society of men
I support everything
From my home to family
It all depends on me
I’m the pillar that keeps it up
I always end up suffering the consequences
From femencides to honor killings
I face it all
This is my identity
A woman who gives to the world
But her reward is abuse
I question this treatment
I ask why I get such treatment
I beg of you to stop it
No one heeds me
No one stops the abuse
My punishment for being a woman in the society
Is to suffer and continue to suffer
I keep bearing this pain and suffering
Out of my emotions
Of fear or love
I do not know which
Bearing the abuse
Facing everything
I am a woman
Always suppressed in the society of men
I am a woman
Please do not abuse me
Please respect me
I am a woman
