Patter, patter, patter.
Patter, patter, patter.
Sounds the rain as it hits the window sill.
Thoughts of you fill my head;
Like the many times we kissed in the rain,
the way I felt when you held me close,
the feeling of your warm lips pressed against mine,
the love we shared, how real it was;
And How little by little,
the love turned to hurt.
The sadness I felt,
the feeling of unhappiness overwhelming you.
You meant to much to me for you to feel that;
It wasn't worth you being hurt too
I let you go, so that maybe you'd have a chance at happiness.
Goodbye summer love, I'll never forget you,
For the scar remains in my heart.
You're just another memory now,
another love lost,
and another boy I'll never get over.
Patter, patter, patter.
Sounds the tears and raindrops,
as they hit the window sill.
