The Changing Seasons
Summer began and fast so did their love
So hot and fiery like the summer’s day
Together always like two turtle doves
They never guessed it would soon go away
With autumn came the yellow falling leaves
Together still their love began to fade
Apart the winds did pull them and did heave
The tree of love no longer gave them shade
Inevitably did the winter come
The bitter cold did pull the two apart
The hearts of these two lovers did frost numb
Until frostbitten, broke the lovers’ hearts
But our love will forever shout and sing
Forever live in an eternal spring
