Harmless Fruit?

I love the smell and color of every single fruit,
There are some that are good, some that are bad, and some that stain a suit.
Take the apple that’s red, orange that’s orange, or the banana that can be yellow or green,
But the one that is sour and a vicious attacker is the hatred lime that’s mean.
I came into the earth knowing for sure that fruit would be my idol,
That one day when I was all grown up it would surely be my bridal.
Something happened that made me very sick
When I bit into my fruit I found out I was allergic.
