Concealing
What I was doing before you called,
before the phone rang
mercilessly echoing in the depths of my mind,
jumping from my stupor,
blood rushing to my head,
to talk to you
whom I don't even wish to speak to
dazed I answer the phone
so what was I doing?
I'd never tell in full
lying- what used to be so difficult now comes easy
the old me dying before my bloodshot eyes
I dislike the new me
cover up what I was doing
hide myself from myself and you
