Forgive Me

i regret everything i said to you. the words that traveled
past the barriers of my lips, into your ears. the hurt you must have felt.
i know years from now, this will keep me up, awake.
i wish i could rewind everything. so i could put those horrid words
back into my lungs, not caring if i stop breathing after my last gasp.
the silence between us, it is narrowing in on my ears.
its getting louder. echoing in my ears, the volume is to over-powering.
i know my suffering is deserved.
forgive me.
