Loner
I travel alone, i just want to be by myself.
I used to have someone but now they hang with someone else.
I have a cell phone but nobody texts or calls.
I don't like being around people but i work in a mall.
I don't have friends but i don't want any either.
I heard a new girl came to the school and I'm the only one who doesn't want to meet her.
I'm on the school committee and i helped set up for homecoming.
I sold out on tickets and I'm the only one who's not coming.
Everybody hangs out in the mall's arcade.
I went there for a while but i never stayed.
On Friday's everybody walks out of the school thinking about parties.
I walk out thinking about getting another job at Hardy's.
There's more people like me but we don't talk to each other.
I guess we're so anti-social that we don't want to get to know one another.
People call me a name that I don't really understand.
I think about it often when I'm playing my drum in band.
They call me the loner because I'm never with a crowd.
I guess that's what I'm known for so i wear it like a crown.
Often I wonder what exactly that word means.
So I guess what I'm writing describes that word, or does it really define me.
