Have You Ever
Have you ever done what I do?
Looked through my eyes,
Or walked in my shoes?
If you havn't,
Then tell me why;
Why do we set our standards so high?
What difference does it make what color we are?
And why do we fight this war from afar?
Why is it that people only want to impress their peers?
And why do we have to cry such painful tears?
Why does this world no longer see peace?
This pain that we're feeling,
Will it ever cease?
One heart, one mind, two hands, two feet.
Good friends sometimes go,
But new ones we meet.
We all are the same,
Black, white, pink, or blue.
So why is it so important to judge like we do?
Let me ask you just one simple question.
What's wrong with this world we so currently rest in?
And have you ever done what I do?
Looked through my eyes?
Or walked in my shoes?
And if you havn't,
Then tell me just why;
Why do we set our standards so high?
