The Water
I take a gasp of air in haste
With water it is forcefully replaced
I feel the helpless pulse against bones and flesh
The water dances with a soft caress
My muscles are sore, my body weak
Water weaves with a gentle peck on my cheek
I can barely see the glimmer of light above
But the water hugs me with a whisper of love
One last rise of panic strikes
But the water moves so fluidly, like wind on a kite
I close my eyes, and instantly give in
The water, It will always win.
