i hear the cries of children
i see their arms outstretched
i know their need for water
is thirst that cant be quenched
i'm aware that they are hungry
their muscles tired of work
their eyes are wide with the fear of night
where the shadow peoople lurk
i know that they are hurting
and their lives are ticking clocks
i see them though they cant see me
i watch them through this box
i pity these poor people
but they're so far away
i sympathize their suffering
but perhaps another day
