No Predictions
Each star represents another death
That’s what I’m told
Each rain drop is a single breath
I don’t believe it.
If there’s life every time –
A death has occurred
Then maybe I’m just one per dime
As easily replaced as last weeks’ milk
There is a searing pain, inside of me
As I watch my life, pass me by
I’m a slave, waiting to be free
But until that happens, I only ask why
The future is what, we’ll talk about
The joys of the future
Is what we all doubt
Why worry now? It’s so far away
Death is near
Just around the corner
Today, it’s what we fear
Why worry?
Life is here
Live life, for now –
Making no predictions
