Faking Perfection
Scared, broken, confused
Looking for hope
She’s got nothing to loose
All of her dreams have already broke
She portrays herself as confident
Never lets others see her flaws
No one else knows she’s only flaunting it
All her life, those are her laws
Pretending, faking perfection
Going for class president
She won the election
Doing her duties as a loyal resident
She longs for a change in her life
Wants to turn around
Maybe one day she’ll be a wife
Finally standing on solid ground
For now, she’ll keep up her acts
The fake smiles, laughs, hand shakes
Pretending to be everything she lacks
Her hidden diversity is the only act she can fake
