Fallen Angel
As I awake, I see the stars
I lay as though I'm dying
Crying at a feeling I've never felt before
I try to see, but the darkness is closing in
It takes my breathe away, now I/m dying
I see a light, I struggle forward
I see the shadows, I cringe away
Sprinting forward, I pray to be found
With my wings battered and bruised
I leap upward, pushing hard against the ground
In the air now, flying up towards the light
The light warm upon my skin
Oh, no wings battered I fall
On my back I land once more
Losing faith, I am crying scared of being alone, I am both lost and the fallen.
