Applause
The air feels cold
On my warm skin
The sun wants to be up and shinning
It’s not yet dawn
I’ rushing to get to the dance bus
On time
When I find myself on the bus
The noise and laughter fills
My silenced ears
As we look out the window
Everyone can see that
We are competition
At our arrival
Everyone stares
Because there is
No doubt about it
We are the best
Performing time
Just an hour away
Starting to get ready
The mix of hairspray and perfume
Fills my throat and makes me gag
Costumes on
There go the zipping of zippers
Oh no performing next
So many nerves
So much stress
The announcer start to say
“And here to perform for you no
The Cannon Falls Bombers!”
The crowd goes crazy
Smiles on everyone’s faces
We can’t help but to
Smile too
