Falling Building
Flames billowing
as alarms sound.
Burning through the
crashed up windows
Trying to run
from an ashy
death
that would burn
their face.
Passion
of hearts
beating
franticly.
Pounding
as they run to save
another
taking in the smoke
that clouds the
thoughts,
the thoughts
that keeps a mind
sane
instead of losing the memories of the
past or losing their sanity.
Clenching the thoughts
of beloved ones.
Flames
liking the clouds
Filling the sky
of a hazy fog
a down pour
fading
the sun as water streams from a
charcoaled face
Freedom
from a fiery death that consumed others.
Somehow
I
have survived.
I watch
the building
fall to ground
becoming a pile of rubble.
Watching
those that have had their heart broken.
Stopping
in their place trying
to find another to
love
How could I possibly help
them through the
heart break?
When I
have not been through it myself.
They lay in their beds
and eat pint sized ice cream
while watching movies
of the life they used to have.
Tissues thrown to the floor,
their hair in a mess,
crying of the hope to be forgotten
memories.
Trying to build
them
back up to the loving people they used to be
though they will not be the same
takes time
till’ that building can stand
tall
again through a burned out
relationship.
