Change, Changing the world
Nature
The aspen air
Cooling my warm skin
Refreshing
My worn out body
From setting up camp
Slowly rising moon
Over the monstrous mountain
Shining on me
Like a flashlight
Crawling into my tent
Scraping my skin
On the unforgiving pine needles
Wolves anxiously howled
Deer bolting
Crows piercingly squealing
I close my eyes
And fall asleep
To the magnificent
Soothing sounds of nature
Sun poking through
My aging green tent
Forcing my eyes open
I squeeze through the minuscule
Tent exit
What was before me was a surprise
Flowers were rotting
Screaming for a sip of water
Trees were lying on the frigid ground
Air smelling like trash
Change, what is it?
It’s what ruins what people used to love
Change
Ruins nature
Even changes people
Change
Ruins everything
That at one time was great
