The pointed edge that speared my chest had been sneaking up on me. I didn't see it coming to seek my quick demise. The arrow had failed to penetrate my still beating heart. It was enough to persuade me to attempt suicide. I failed at that to. The moon rising is the only reason for the heart in my body to continue beating as it has been for so many years.
