Ode to Bacon
Oh, Bacon!
We love you,
Your cholesterol high fatty goodness,
Your raw shades of pink,
The different browns when cooked,
Your variety of flavors,
And anything else under the sun about you.
Just as long as you come from a pig.
Oh, Bacon!
We can never fully say goodbye.
You call us to the fridge
And say, “Eat me! Eat me! You know you
want to!”
We indulge in your fatty goodness
No matter the cost.
You are the most truthful and pure meat in the world.
Oh, Bacon!
I have finished eating you
And I have no more.
For that saddens me Bacon!
Alas! I shall go get more!
Until then …
I will miss you.
