Every Time I Skim
Every time I skim through that book,
Chaos clutters my mind.
Unwieldy feelings rush through me,
My veins,
My heart,
My thoughts.
Flipping fervently through thin pages,
Scouring for some kind of solution,
With significant certainty,
I had once known it to be true.
But now it seems those words were miscontrued.
Every aspect I placed under scrutiny,
Until I had an epiphany,
and realized.
I could never have a testimony.
If I had never endured a test.
