The Yellow Grass
The yellow grass sways from left to right
A Cloud's heart beats in monotone
Rain gingerly falls down it's lover's face
But then lightning snaps the ground
Between the alleys and across the street
Puddles are being traumatized
By the yellow rainboots
Of a young boy in a slicker
Unwitting people pass by
In their aged Fords and Chevy's
They travel down a road unknown
Never ending, of great steepness
Aligning their blind side towers the telephone polls
Whose wires connect each other
In a bond no less than friendship.
