The Foolish
Can you be a fool for love,
Just to have it torn from your very arms.
Can you be a fool for having hope,
Only to find that it utterly fails.
Can you you be a fool for thinking there is cure,
To find that there never was or can be.
Can you be a fool for not having love, hope, or thought.
For the sake of the 16-month-old boy who died in your sister's arms.
Tell me, am I fool for all that?
