Him, Her, and Everyone Else
Without serious there is no funny
Without feeling there is no soul
But the world would rather be cunning
Than have substance; than to be whole
“Chill out” or “calm down”
That’s what cool is these days
But my blue eyes aren’t brown
My seriousness isn’t just a phase
Tomorrow we are the makers
Recipes will no longer be home
We will be givers no longer takers
Can cook the food for our own
The chef’s son learns to taste and smell
The scent I smell does more than tell
