Marti Gras
Well the time is now, the day is here. Melody in the night, harmony in the ears. The rhythm of the street, the air is so sweet. Color and music all around, everyone jammin’ to that awesome sound. The dancers swaying, the trumpets playing, the jewels and beads all scatter the ground. The festival is hoppin’ and fireworks are poppin’. Everyone just boogie-in’ around. The gators are starin’, and the water is fair, and the couples all pair to astound. The ladies all graceful, the men are embrace-ful, and soon we’ll be takin’ town. Boys giving roses, kids stompin’ on toes-es, masked figures jumpin’ and singin’ and drunken on massive floats that weigh a thousand pound. Marti Gras is crazy, not to mention a little dazey, but this is where the true you is found.
