Day Dreamers
She looks out into the black sky.
A world of swirls and tentacles skate by.
Then there's a world of hearts and thunder.
It's slowly sinking down under.
The ground beneath her is hot.
Slowly burning her feet like coils around a pot.
She walks on into a breaking blue land.
She doesn't realize the pictures in hand.
This land is filled with memories of the lost.
All around her, the land turns to frost.
Tears break her eyes.
Rain begins to fall from the skies.
She passes by the possible worlds again.
Hoping to remember where she's been.
Her eyes open wide to see the sun.
She knows last night is done.
The sun breaks through her window in a beam.
She realizes that it was just a dream.
