He looked at me,
And said the simple words,
"I cant be with you anymore."
As he walked away,
My heart was sore.
I saw him again,
with his new girlfriend,
a girl I'd seen before.
"Why'd you do this?"
I asked her.
She had been my friend.
She looked at me,
with disdain,
and said,
"Don't talk to me again."
As they left,
I yelled at them,
and now I wish I hadn't.
Because now I have,
someone else to love,
and my heart won't be broken again.

I know exactly how this feels and what it feels like to dump someone for someone else... trust me it's not easy. I love this poem and how you didn't try to steal him back and it wasn't angry or upsetting. It was just... mellow. I love it, hope you keep writing :))

Thanks guys!!!  I'm really glad you liked it!!!!  I'm working on a story and i should have it posted soon.  Probably in the novels section.

I really enjoyed your poem. Great Job. And it important to realize that your first crush wont be your only first crush. And that you need more people to be around you other than one person. Great Message!

I think it's important to understand that your first relationship won't be your last--your first group of friends won't either! Many people are so torn when a relationship ends, they put up walls and it eventually prevents another. Well written poem indeed!

Pretty good! Kinda' short, but then again I'm not to judge. My poems are like, 10 lines on a good day! Keep writing!
