Dyslexia
Have you ever picked up a chapter book
And wondered what it said?
I would turn to the first page and take a look,
But words just swirl inside my head.
The letters don't stay still,
The paragraphs make no sense,
The words do gymnastics against my will,
And what is this present perfect tense?
I wish the words would stay in one place.
I wish I wouldn't mix up my letters.
I wish I wasn't such a disgrace.
I wish I could learn to read better.
