Deep in the Willow (A Lullaby)
Deep in the willow,
 There lives a friendly troll.
 With your head on the pillow
 See all the hills that roll.
 
 The troll says ‘Hello!
 Let me lead you away.’
 And the animals watch
 As the bed sways, sways, sways.
 
 You wake up in a willow,
 He’s nowhere to be found.
 Take your head off the pillow
 And start to look around.
 
 The troll says ‘Hello!
 What a beautiful day!’
 The sun shines so brightly
 As you play, play, play.
 
 It gets dark in the willow
 You’ve been playing all day long.
 Put your head on the pillow
 And listen to his song.
 
 The troll says ‘Goodnight!
 We’ll meet again some day.’
 And you fall fast asleep
 As the bed flies away…
