Empty Shell
Mirrors lie in blankets
Fevers, just as true
Dance the blade of ruin
Green sky, grass is blue
Once I knew a lover
Of lace and silk and bells
Moths flew by and ate her
Now I've empty shells
Here I am left to ponder.
WHile the sun shines just for you
This lovely southern weather
Pins down what once flew.
