On the Road to Finding Who I REALLY Am
Sometimes I feel like I'm not enough,
I try to capture my essence but it's nothing seems to be realistic.
I suffer a lot and every day that glass mirror gets tougher to watch.
Every day I walk with my head in the clouds,
I trying to keep my composure but I'm hell bound.
I'm walking through this cold world with my feet planted on solid ground,
I try to scream but there's no sound.
I'm alone in this world with no one there,
I try to speak but no one can hear.
I mean it's like ripping the vocals from someone's voice,
And telling them it hurts you too but you don't really have a choice.
I'm hoping for better days but in the end it all seems the same.
My friends had told me I've changed,
But I how can you make a difference and STILL stay the same?
Little girl blue it's what they call you,
You want them to understand but it's so hard to.
You want them to see you but they don't want to,
You cannot say anything but you would like to and you want to smile and think positive but what can you do.
My mom always told me "Sweetie, you'll only be a star when you become comfortable with who you really are."
I began to reflect on my life,
And started to believe in every single thing that she said,
Even though she's not here because she's dead,
Her memory forever lives on. Mom I LOVE YOU.
I'm on the road the finding out who I REALLY am,
I hope that I'll have the strength to stand.
She's my greatest inspiration
And I smile with every good intention and reach for my dreams with ALL my ambition.
But every day it feels like I'm being eating alive,
But I will not stop until I've reached for all that I strive.
Her words are all that I remember,
Even though it's June it feels like the middle of December.
My mother was my sun and moon,
I strive to achieve all the things that she wanted me to.
She was the library that held all the of information that a girl could possibly need,
Now every night it's gets harder to sleep.
The thunder gave an angry roar whenever my mother was mad,
She was a better parent then my dad.
The rain would cry whenever my mother was sad,
But I was always there with a smile to make her laugh.
As I wake away I will cherish the things my mom once taught me,
I will remember her in every word that I speak.
I'm leaving with all smiles,
I'll take an extra inch and walk another mile.
Of course this isn't the end this is just the beginning of a new start,
But as I leave I will make my mark,
No not in the sand but on the inside of everyone's heart.
