The Box
Listening to the sounds of the actors
I was intrigued by their speech
watching, their emotions pour off
the stage.
"Our American Cousin".
There was a stranger haunting
the theater.
"There's Booth"
He gave the note to the usher
first chance her got
he walked in/
He secured the door with,
a stick.
I saw a presence of someone
who didn't belong
feeling of the eyes who gained access to the peephole
I heard the door creek
I felt it being raised
I touched the fear that was
engraved in the stranger
as he held the gun
and at the first shot
he was dead.
