You Changed
You used to be so different.
I don’t know you anymore.
Who have you become
Since you walked out that door?
You used to be so steady-
Steady like a rock
When you came back from college,
I was in great shock.
You used to comfort me with words
And give me your advice.
Now with every word you speak
There’s a confusing spice.
You have become so clingy
To the one thing you can’t get.
You read your Bible daily,
But your heart it doesn’t hit.
You once told me stories;
Now they’re filled with pride.
It seems that there is something
You’re desperately trying to hide.
