Try to Forget
Shhhhhh…
Stay silent.
Don’t move too quickly.
This might get violent.
Crunch.
The enemy’s near.
Load your gun.
Swallow your fear.
Thump.
Your heart beat flies.
Your adrenaline runs.
Say a prayer to the skies.
Boom!
Pull the trigger to kill.
A body falls.
Now everything’s still.
Oops…
The dead had a friend.
A bullet rips through your side.
You know the damage is too much to mend.
Gasp!
You fly awake covered in sweat.
You’re safe and sound in your bed.
I guess some things you can never forget.
