Inability to sleep,
Never getting to dream, just
Sitting up all night and
Openly cursing the world until
Morning comes as
Night slowly slips away
In a dark sleepless calm.
After all, who really needs it>

The author's comments:
This was inspired by a very sleepless week of school as I was trying to get through my last five months of High School. I was trying to balance too much and I ended up untimely crashing with only a pile of stress to show for all of my hard work. I feel like a lot of high school seniors (or high schoolers in general) could really relate with this poem.
