Notice
She carries her mask
at her side ready to draw.
For if someone starts to question
what she's feeling at all.
No one seems to notice
that her smiles are all forces.
Though if you look into her eyes
all you'll see is strong remorse.
He carries his mask
at his side ready to draw.
For if someone starts to question
what he's feeling at all.
Sitting in the back
with his eyes gazing low.
Making sure that his sadness
doesn't ever show.
Yet they go home at night
and cry themselves to sleep.
Because no one cared enough
to see what was hidden beneath.
You don't notice their pain
when nothings showing through.
But if you take a moment you might realize
that they're sitting next to you.
