All From One Creator Come
Faces dark and faces light,
Hues so varied shining bright.
Different colors God did paint,
Beauty marked on every face.
He decreed that all should love,
Welcome, embrace, never shove,
Live to bless and honor others,
Dwell in peace with all their brothers.
All from one Creator come,
All to Him are going home.
Faces dark and faces light,
Souls plunged into endless night.
Faces dark despair and mourn,
Homes and honor from them torn.
Cramped, imprisoned, beaten, shoved,
Shown no mercy, shown no love—
All from one Creator come,
All to Him are going home.
Faces dark and faces light.
Rich, dark faces stand and fight.
Peace and courage clad their chests,
Broken eyes on vict’ry set.
No more will they live as slaves;
Divine Justice makes them brave.
Choosing freedom, choosing life,
Choosing love instead of strife.
Remembering their broken fathers,
Choosing to love their hard, white brothers.
Singing “We Shall Overcome.”
All from One Creator come,
All to Him are going home.
