My chest is a cage
My ribs the prison bars
locking my self inside
Painted red with flecks of white
lost in an internal fight
Filled with anger
Brimming with fear
Yet numb and empty I feel
Is this bitterness
Staining my bones
All that will be left
When I die
A death of emotions
A death of time
Stuck in a fractured mind
Bite of release
Easing my life
Down the spiraling drain
I flick the water
Sucking it down
Laughing all the while
I drown myself in pure denial
