Lost faith

Once upon a time
I had an ardent faith,
That until the sun shines
Its never too late..
Honesty seemed a sign
That never ever failed
This world seemed mine
Just like a fairy tale.

Friendship I thought
Was purest of all
But all some got
Was lies and false
Hypocrisy was fine
Frustration haled
That's when I realized
Life's not a fairy tale

Love I knew
Was a divine sight
But then I saw
Feelings change overnight
When love disguised
When commitment failed
That's when I realized
Life's not a fairy tale

Family I believed
Would be there till the end
Sadly some received
Loneliness and resent
When emotions were presumed
As a prison or jail
That's when life resumed
Without a fairy tale..


Faith regained






Soon will be gone
This dark meaningless rain
A ray of hope is the seed
For the clouds to refrain
Soon will be left
Nights of tears and pain
Compassion and courage must meet
For that silent laughter again

Soon will be loved
Those who go unnoticed
All will it need
Is patience and spirit
Soon will be victory
Of right over wrong
The hovering of clouds
Soon will be gone

Soon will be harmony
Of dreams and fate
Soon we'll be done with
This long unending wait
Soon will they trust
Truths over lies
Destruction will fail
Against sacrifice

Soon will be love
Above all again
Soon will the sunshine
Breakthrough this rain
Soon will be faith
Regained before late
Soon will they realize
Life's sure a fairy tale.
