Serendipity
You sent a text my way
And took me by storm
It was a surprisingly nice day
For not doing the norm
You picked me up by car
And we took out an old map
Decided to go really far
To the ocean’s gap
We rode in ravishing style
In a bright blue Mercedes
And for each passing mile
We listened to the 80s
The windows were rolled down
But you didn’t mind
Hearts beating to the sound
To the music we had to find
The intercoastal was clear
An easy ride
And we shared a beer
By the ocean’s side
