Wintertime is finally here.
Joy walks to every home in the Laplands.
Watching the Sami family as they decorate their own
For these winter festivities.
We start December first and end the twenty-fourth.
After twenty four days of gifts we finally we reach Christmas Eve.
Parents prepare the food while “Tre nøtter til Askepott” is put on for the children.
When you can smell mor’s cooking in the air we know it’s time.
The family has arrived and now the feast awaits us.
The children enjoy risengrynsgrøt as they read Carpenter Anderson, while the adults enjoy Akevitt.
Now our time is here.
