Rouge et Verte Noël Choses
Christmas is a month of cavorting.
Red and green Christmas things decorate the homes.
Sitting next to a fierce fire an ebullient child reads “La Robe de Noël.”
From her seat she sees the tree.
Tall, fresh, beautiful and green. With pine needles littering the floor.
In the kitchen she can smell the holiday memories from her mother’s cooking.
“And in Jesus’ name, amen.”
