Good Girl
“Good girl,” you cry, though I just say “Daddy”
It is barely recognizable, but you understand me
I feel smart and proud because I do what I am told
I am a good girl because you say so
“Good girl,” you cry because I ate all my greens
I’m sitting here, hiding my gags unseen
It was gross, but I ate them cause you said that I should
I always do what I am told, so I’m good
“Good girl,” you cry, see the A on my test
You tell me I’ll get just as good on the rest
I studied all day because you said so
I am a good girl when I do what I’m told
You give me a treat if it all goes your way
A pat on the head if I do what you say
But I ask you, my dear, what’d you do if for once
If for once in my life, I was bad?
