Waiting Pain
I was scared
I was reaching
I was falling
Falling
That’s all I remember
Falling of that chair
Hearing that crack as my elbow hit the floor
Nobody thought I broke it
But I did
I thought it
I knew it
I felt it
The pain
The tears
As I sat there on the cold ground
Ice on my arm
Waiting
Waiting for what
We should be gone
We should be at the hospital
We should be getting me help
I was crying
Couldn’t they see I needed help
It felt like a lifetime before we left
We were diving
More waiting
We were there
Even more waiting
X-rays
Big room
No one was there
I was scared…again
Then one person
Someone I didn’t know
That person moved my arm
It was painful
She made me stay in that pain
Lights
I saw the lights flash
It happened again and again and again
More waiting
More waiting forever
Then the answers
They were right in front of me
Right in front of my face
I was right
It was broken
