Barefoot
have you ever walked bare foot
barefoot
is like not caring what people think,
sharp rocks
makes you think how
your shoes protect you.
sand
makes you think
what you’re missing.
jumping high,
that feeling in your stomach jolts
landing hard on the ground.
your toes
wiggle around
freely…
what can you lose.
your feet will always catch you.
spinning around,
faster, faster
until you fall,
your feet can’t help you,
falling flat
on the
dirty, smelly ground.
