Dear Mr. Perfect,
Dear Mr. Perfect,
Read this at our own will.
I never reveal my secrets, but today I've decided to spill.
I've been having strange thoughts,
The thoughts are way past my years.
I have a lot of standards, but I'm nervous,
So help me face my fears.
Dear Mr. Perfect,
I have a few requests.
A varsity sport? Maybe a career?
I want the best of the best.
Try listening to me when I speak, rather thatn just staring into space.
You know, if you don't treat me well,
My cousin will pound your face.
Dear Mr. Perfect,
I hope you're smarter than me.
I need a lot of guidance;
Someone who lets me be.
A friend to talk to,
In good times and bad.
And please, don't act like you're my dad.
Dear Mr. Perfect,
Why are you so hard to find?
Is it because you refuse to be mine?
I'm not as terrible as some people think.
In fact, my awfulness is beginning to shrink.
Don't be alarmed,
I'm normal, I swear.
Neglecting me? Totally unfair.
Dear Mr. Perfect,
I bet you don't exist.
Oh but the thought of you living;
My imagination cannot resist.
It's amazing what a kid can think up on her own.
I think it's about time the little girl as grown.
