In the Shadows

As night falls evil comes out to play,
Around every corner is where it hides,
On top and behind the trees,
Glaring at all as they walk by,
Waiting for someone to slip,
Just once,
So they may pounce and destroy their soul,
Everyone knows it,
Yet no one does anything about it,
Instead of helping they all run and hide;
They hide behind the corners,
Behind the trees,
Where evil is hiding,
They all turn away and let it happen,
So if no one helps,
What happens next?
