Generation:Facebook
I am inhabited with millions of creatures crawling
through my cyber-space world for pleasure.
They build me.
I am exposed to the existence
of this physical world
through the single intangible escape that defines me.
All people crave me.
The convenience of my services is at the tap of a key,
and all you have to pay is the perpetuating fee of my hovering and constant gaze
into your engrossing lives.
The interaction that I enable is priceless.
I am “world-wide” according to your narrow-minded,
thin as air laptop screens.
Though, do not be fooled, for your addiction
empowers me.
I am your only reliable outlet, but you are not mine.
In the beginning, your unfamiliar
names infected me.
You were poisonous
to my system.
I tried to swallow
you whole, and digest
you like normal.
You did not clean my system,
but became it.
You are involved in my life, as I am in yours, however, the exchange of realities
are jaded.
In case you have not caught on to pop-culture,
I have become a revolution.
I need one person to exist, but I do not need you.
